We are here to increase the educational and enjoyment level of students and produce exceptional quality performances in dance.
Whether looking to enjoy a single class or aspiring for a professional career in the arts, all students receive the same professional, high level quality of instruction. A wide selection of classes: Pre-Ballet, Intermediate and Advanced Ballet, Jazz, and Character Dance, provide training for all ages, toddler thru adult, and beginner thru professional. We offer private instruction and international competition training.
Students have the unique opportunity to study the Vaganova syllabus, as taught at the Bolshoi. The Vaganova method is a solid dance curriculum systemized by Agrippina Vaganova, one of the most important dance teachers of the twentieth century.
This strong technical foundation of classical ballet not only creates the ballet artist but also gives a student of jazz, modern or hip-hop the greatest opportunity for success. Our jazz, modern, and character dance instructors have studied under some of the finest instructors in their field and continue to dance professionally. Our youngest students are introduced to proper technique in a nurturing environment that develops their love of dance in a format that stresses fun, posture, body positions, and playground movements that become dance steps. Our advanced students have received top awards at international competitions, received dance scholarships to universities, and have gone on to work with other professional companies.
Established in 2001 by Anastasia Babayeva and Denis Gronostayskiy, Academy opened our doors to students of all ages where every student receiving attention in every classes. We do believe in proper classical technique. Training in the school is based on Vaganova (Russian training) Method, developed by Agrippina Vaganova in 1934. Her Methods still used by many professional schools and ballet companies throughout the world. This method develops great strength, beautiful lines, perfect positions, artistry in every student and dancer. Classical Ballet technique is very important to every dancer or artist.
In addition Anastasia and Denis served as Master Lecturers at UARTS and has been Principals of School of PA Ballet.
In this short time we have taught over 1000 students and many become professional dancers with ballet companies in United States and abroad including PA Ballet, Washington Ballet, Richmond Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and many others. Our students are competing in professional ballet competitions like YAGP, American Ballet Competition, Universal Ballet Competition, Easton Ballet Competition, World Ballet Art Competition and others (List of Awards included).

Anastasia and Denis also work with competition ice skaters and couples to refine their technique.
Academy providing full length performance of “Nutcracker” every year for more than 1000 audience members with more than 60 students in every production. Every year we have at least 3-5 outreach performances in great locations like the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA), the Brandywine Museum of Art, Brandywine Museum, Assisted living throughout Delaware and Chester counties and more.
Anastasia and Denis choreographed and re-staged full length performances such as La Sylphide, Giselle, Coppelia, Nutcracker, Carnival of the Animals and many others. Create many contemporary works for competitions and performances. Worked on many collaborations with other schools, companies and orchestras.
As of 2017 Academy of Int’l Ballet has a Composer In Residence. Jennifer Nicole Campbell in addition to holding her M.M. and B.M. degrees from Peabody Conservatory, a division of The Johns Hopkins University, Ms. Campbell brings a wealth of composing and performance experience to our students and our performances. She has performed at notable halls including Lincoln Center, the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, the Grand Opera House in Delaware, and the Musikhauset Aarhus in Denmark among others, and her compositions have been aired on Philadelphia's WRTI and New York's WQXR. We have started collaborations and engaged in creating beautiful pieces of art.
Many of our students who have competed in competitions have received full and partial scholarships for summer programs, and year round programs in dance schools throughout United States and Russia.
