    Thank you to the PARENTS!

At AIB we have so many talented parents! We are so lucky to have so much help from them. Any help small or big greatly appreciated. Students feel much better when parents truly involved in the life of the studio. We are truly blessed to have amazing people around us. Thank you for being with AIB! Here is some photos by Miki Wray and Stanislav Nemoy.

    The Nutcracker 2018

We had an amazing start of the year with going to competitions and winning places and performing very well with our competitions team! At the same time we was preparing for our holiday performance of the Nutcracker. It was hard to put everything together but with lot's of work from faculty, parents and students we made an amazing performance! Many people came to me and said that this was the best Nutcracker that have seen. We are very proud how this performance was made and v

    Sugar Plum Fairy

Being able to perform in Academy of International Ballet’s, “The Nutcracker” for the past 10 years has been a wonderful experience each and every time. The Nutcracker was the first ballet I had the chance to perform in and I was first caste as a little girl in the party scene. The combination of the beautiful costumes and music always left me in awe as I would watch in the audience during the second half of the show. However, what really made this ballet so magical for me, we

From an Angel to the Sugar Plum.

As far back as I can remember, the months of September, October and November have been busy rehearsing for the Academy of International Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker. Whether I was an Angel, a Polishinel or part of the party scene it was always fun and exciting to be part of the Nutcracker shows. In fourth grade, I was cast as Clara and I remember sitting on stage and watching the more experienced dancers and professionals dance the roles of Arabian, Snow, Russian, Ma

CECCHETTI’S ‘DAYS OF THE WEEK’ THE PHYSICAL PRINCIPLES IN ACTION

Very good read! Cecchetti Method, Classical Ballet Technique, Published Articles By Julie Cronshaw Enrico Cecchetti, ballet master to Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, creator of the Method which bears his name, was one of the most celebrated demi-caractère dancers and mimes of his day. Trained initially by his father Cesare, then by Giovanni Lepri, the latter a pupil of the great Carlo Blasis, Cecchetti became an accomplished dancer, schooled in both the French classical ballet an

    About Vaganova technique

    About Vaganova technique

As a teacher myself, I think Vaganova is the most easier to understand and making more sense in explaining to the student technique. At Academy of Int'l Ballet we are basing our curriculum on Vaganova technique with understanding that all ballet/dance world moving forward and all companies looking for well rounded dancers. Mastering the Vaganova technique Precision. Quiet power. Controlled strength. Regal carriage. Vaganova-trained dancers are easy to spot: Their technique is

Not sure who wrote this but 100% right! One of my friends asked "Why do you pay so much money and spend so much time running around for your daughter to dance ?" Well I have a confession to make: I don't pay for my daughter's dance lessons. Or her pointe, Jazz & tap shoes. Or her hundreds of costumes. So, if I am not paying for dance, what am I paying for? - I pay for those moments when my girl becomes so tired she feels like quitting but doesn't... - I pay for the opportunit
